My goal is to maintain a delivery performance exceeding 99% on time, to achieve this with average lead times of two days is extremely challenging and rewarding at the same time. 

We appreciate the demands you are placed under to hit demanding installation deadlines and it’s my job to ensure all purchased goods and services are in the right place at the right time to achieve these. Using some software called Javelin, ALM manages every aspect of your order, from initial enquiry, quotation, order processing, purchase requirements, production scheduling, anodising and painting through to final assembly and dispatch.

Using this package, I’m able to see forecast demand and react quickly to place orders and expedite deliveries. With our main suppliers on a 24 hour delivery schedule 5 days per week our goods in team and stores which I also look after are never still.

As well as purchasing, I also look after the scheduling side of the production plan as this way I can see what is coming through every hour and update orders accordingly. To say things move extremely fast at ALM would be an understatement however, our long term staff, systems and procedures usually make for a smooth flow of goods.

With overnight carriers arriving late in the afternoon, the focus changes to dispatch and everyone is committed to exceeding our delivery target of 99% on time.  Once the carriers have left for the day, the schedule is re-run and the plan is revised accordingly ready for the following day.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family, riding my motorcycle and attending track days when family time allows it.
